Did you know that you can now check out an iPad equipped with apps for Google Meet and Zoom to meet with a doctor virtually or conduct a job interview? Our Library is proud to loan iPads through our partnership with NJ HealthConnect@Your Library!
You may borrow an iPad preconfigured with apps and links to 24/7 telemedicine sites, places for mental health support for all ages, Covid updates in English and Spanish, and multilingual health information. The iPad includes apps for Google Meet and Zoom to meet with a doctor virtually or conduct a job interview since employment is a social determinant of health.
Borrow an iPad for up to a week. Reserve up to 90 days in advance. iPads may not be renewed, but you can reserve as often as you need for follow up appointments.
The iPads come in an Otterbox case with:
- a quick start guide
- multilingual instructions
- a charging cable
- a base plug
The ongoing pandemic has put a spotlight on inequities in the healthcare system, especially among those most vulnerable. There is a need for public libraries to play a role in advancing health equity that can be bridged through the NJHealthConnect @ Your Library, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) opportunity.
