Library Parking Lot Construction and October 2 Closure
Beginning Monday, September 14, sections of the Monroe Township Public Library’s parking lot will be inaccessible due to necessary construction work being completed in preparation for the Township’s solar panel project.
Construction will begin in the Library’s staff parking lot and proceed to other areas of the parking lot as the project continues. This work will continue until further notice.
Alternative parking will be available along Municipal Plaza. Visitors are encouraged to allow additional time for parking and to follow posted signs and directions while construction is underway.
The book return and pickup lockers at both the Monroe Township Senior Center and Community (Rec) Center will remain available and accessible throughout the construction.
Library Closed Friday, October 2, 2026
As part of the solar panel project, the Library will be closed on Friday, October 2 so that necessary electrical work can be performed.
The Library’s entire parking lot will be inaccessible that day, including the drive-thru window and book return.
The following services will also be affected:
* The Bookmobile will not be on the road on Friday, October 2, 2026.
* At Home Services deliveries scheduled for that day will be rescheduled.
The book return and pickup lockers at the Senior Center and Community (Rec) Center will remain available and accessible during the closure.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as this necessary work is completed and look forward to the long-term benefits of the Township’s solar energy project.
