9/3/2024 –

The Monroe Township Library will be closed to the public on Friday, September 6 while our parking lot is repaved.

What does this mean for library services?

  • Library staff will report to work and phones will be staffed. Patrons may call the library with reference questions, to register for programs, reserve books, museum passes, WiFi hotspots, etc.
  • The Bookmobile will make its regularly scheduled stops and At Home Services will deliver materials to patrons, as scheduled.
  • The Drive-Thru Window at the library will be inaccessible due to paving. The book drops at the Senior Center and Community (Rec) Center will both be open. Please do not come to the library to return materials on Friday, September 6.
  • Events & Programs

The work is expected to take just one day. The Library plans to reopen during its regularly scheduled hours on Saturday, September 7 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment, but this much-needed work will benefit all visitors to the Library for many years to come.

The paving work is weather permitting. In case of severe inclement weather, the paving work will be rescheduled and the library will open to the public. An announcement will be made here in case of changes to the above. Keep an eye out for updates.
