A very suspenseful first book by this author. Hawkins is being compared to Gillian Flynn, so I felt compelled to read it.

The book centers around “the girl on the train” who observes something from the window of a commuter train that changes the lives of a family forever.  The main character is a girl who may or may not be a reliable witness to these events. When the police get involved, the story gets even more suspenseful.

I loved the character portrayals and the author’s writing style. The story goes back and forth between past and present, which really adds to the suspense.

If you like thrillers, you will love this book!
