Mobile Hotspot Lending Program
Mobile Hotspots are available to Monroe Township Public Library card holders in good standing, 18 years and older.
Upon checking out a mobile hotspot, Patrons will be given a mobile hotspot wifi kit.
The kit consists of:
- 1 mobile wifi hotspot
- 1 Charger and cable
- Instruction sheet
- 1 carrying case
Loan period for the device is 2 weeks with no holds or renewals. Mobile Hotspots are loaned out on a first come, first served basis.
The late fee is $1 per day, with a $10 maximum fee. Service to the mobile hotspot will be deactivated when the device is 3 days overdue.
If a technical issue arises, the borrowing patron should return the device immediately to the Monroe Township Public Library’s Circulation Desk.
Patrons should return the mobile hotspot fully charged.
Mobile hotspot kits must be returned directly to the Monroe Township Public Library’s circulation desk. Device cannot be returned at the drive thru window or in a book drop.
If any part of the kit is damaged, stolen, or lost, the borrowing patron will be charged the replacement cost of the item/items.
Replacement cost by item:
- total cost of wifi kit $110
- mobile hotspot $80
- charger & cable $15
- carrying case $15
The default settings of the mobile hotspot are not to be changed.
The Monroe Township Public Library is not responsible for any information a patron accesses using a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot or any actions they take while online.
Using the mobile hotspot to access any online content determined to be illegal or obscene according to federal, state, or municipal law will result in the revocation of hotspot borrowing privileges and potentially criminal prosecution.
