Reserving an Item (Place a Hold)
Holds can be placed by filling out a card at any public service desk or calling the Reserve Office.
Reserves can also be placed from home using the Library catalog.
Please be aware that there is a $1 charge for holds that are not picked up.
Reserving from Home:
- Go to the iBistro homepage.
- Enter your Library barcode number and PIN in the white boxes on the top of the screen. Click the blue “Login for More Features” button.
- Search for the title that you want to reserve. Click on the blue "details" button to the left of the title.
- Click on the "Place Hold" link on the left side of the screen. This link is located under the blue "Keep" tab.
- Monroe should be listed as the pickup location. If it is not, select it from the list and click on the blue “Place Hold” button.
- You should see a message that says your name and the title that you have placed on reserve. Click on the blue "OK" link to confirm.
Now, when you review your account, a list of the items you have placed on hold will appear.
If you have any questions about placing a hold, please contact our Reserve Office (732) 521-5000 or lmagee@monroetwplibrary.org
