The Monroe Township Library is celebrating National Bookmobile Day by offering a scavenger hunt in the Library. A cardboard Bookmobile will be hidden throughout the building from Monday, April 10- Thursday April 14. Patrons who find the Bookmobile will be given a small prize.

On Wednesday, April 12, the Library hosts a car race in the Children’s Department. Drop in anytime between 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and race against others in the Children’s Department.  The Bookmobile will also be having a coloring contest.

In addition, the Bookmobile will be stopping at special places throughout Monroe to celebrate the day. On Wednesday, April 12th you can find the Bookmobile at:

  • Especially for You Florist from  10:30 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Monroe Dog Park  from 11:15 – 11:40 a.m.
  • Four Seasons at Monroe from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.
  • Monroe Township Library from  3:15 – 4:45 p.m.

Wednesday, April 12 is National Bookmobile Day, a celebration of the more than 930 bookmobiles and dedicated bookmobile staff that provide vital library services to their communities.   The occasion is an opportunity for Americans to express their support for these important mobile institutions. For over 100 years, bookmobiles have delivered information, technology, and resources for life-long learning to Americans of all walks of life.
