Infant and Toddler Storytimes

Calendar

Baby Time
Rhymes and playtime for infants 6-12 months and their caregiver. One half-hour session of rhymes, songs and free play will be offered. Registration is required.

Toddlin' Tots

A program for ages 12-18 months and caregiver. Children must be 12 months old by the start of each program. Registration is required.

Wee Folk
A storytime for the younger child. Caregiver and child ages 18-24 months are welcome. Children must be 18 months old by the start of each session. Registration is required.

Terrific Twos
A program for ages 24-36 months and caregiver. Children must be 24 months old at the start of each program. Registration is required.

Mother Goose Time
A parent and child program for children ages 18-36 months. Join us for stories music and fun. Registration is not required.

 

Preschool and School Age Storytimes

Drop-in Storytime
A program filled with stories, music and fun for ages 3-5. Registration is not required.

Preschool Storytime
Three half-hour sessions will be offered for children ages 3-5. Join us for stories, music and fun. Children must be 3 years old by the start of each program. Registration is required.

Starlight Express
An alternative to daytime storytimes for ages 3-5. Registration is required.

Night Time Tales
An evening story time for ages 3-5. Registration is not required.

After School Stories
A special storytime for children ages 6-8. Come hear stories, sing songs and more. Registration is not required.

After School Reading Adventure
The Library presents a variety of fun and entertaining programs on these special afternoons. All programs are Saturday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. Registration is required.

Book Discussions

Calendar

Join us at the Library for good books and good company. Our monthly book discussions allow us to read and talk about a variety of books- adventure, mystery, science fiction, humor.... to name a few. Come share your thoughts and opinions and hear what others have to say about the books we read. There is a discussion for 3rd and 4th grade students and one for students in the 5th and 6th grades.

  • Wednesdays evenings.
  • Refreshments will be served.
  • Copies of the titles to be discussed are available at the Youth Services Desk.
  • Please call the Library to register for these programs.

Ongoing Programs

Music With Pat McKinley
A musical program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Come sing, dance and have fun! Registration is not required.

Stamp Club
Under the guidance of resident stamp collectors, young people ages 7-12 are introduced to the world of stamp collecting through guest speakers and stamp swapping. The club meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the Library. Please call (732) 521-5000 to register.

Arts and Crafts

Arts and Crafts Programs
Theme oriented craft programs for beginners. Two age-groups are offered: ages 3-5 and 6-8. Programs begin at 4:15 p.m.

Please stop by the Youth Services Desk for a number prior to the start of the program. The first 15 children will be accepted. Registration is not required by space is limited.

Kids in the Kitchen
Learn kitchen basics in this simple, fun and delicious program for kids ages 8-12. Registration is required.

Sunday Afternoon Crafts
Sunday afternoon crafts are not scheduled at this time. They will resume in November.
These drop-in crafts are for all ages at the Art Station in the Youth Services Area. Registration is not required.
