Lecture Series: Ernani by Verdi

Verdi's Ernani takes place in 16th century Spain and tells the dramatic story of mismatched lovers. First in the series by Opera NJ Director Richard Russell discussing composition, historical background, and staging.

Also in the series:

  • Wednesday, April 4 will be Manon by Massenet, a tale of a tragic heroine.
  • Wednesday, April 11 will be La Traviata by Verdi, the much loved story of Violeta.
  • Wednesday, April 18: The series concludes with a Master Class (arias performed).
