Computer Classes
Computer classes are offered on a regular basis at the library. Classes are free of charge and run for approximately 45 minutes each. Space is limited.
Sign-up begins for all classes one month in advance on the first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am at the Reference Desk. Sign-up will continue until classes are filled.
The following is a sampling of classes that have been offered recently. Not all classes are offered every month. Please contact the Reference Desk or check our event calendar for currently scheduled classes.
Start-Up with the Internet
For true beginners to the Internet. Have you ever heard the terms "scroll down," "click" or "link" and wondered what they meant? You will become familiar with using a mouse and the basics to finding information on the Internet.
Microsoft Word
This class will provide instruction on composing and formatting a basic business letter. We will cover indenting, creating a bulleted list, text formatting and spell checking.
You will need to know how to use a mouse and have some basic typing skills.
Microsoft Excel 2007
Create basic charts and graphs with this popular spreadsheet program.
Uploading and Editing Photos
Learn how to upload, edit, organize, and shrare photos online using Flickr and Picnik.
Websites 2 Good 2 Miss
This class will cover sites on the Internet for information on health and medicine, recipes, maps and directions, entertainment and much more!
